Recognise lesser celandine
19th March 2022
In the right context, the lesser celandine is a cheerful wildflower, carpeting the ground with its shiny leaves and glossy yellow flowers, a welcome sign of spring. Wordsworth wrote a poem about it (not just daffodils! He was keen on nature...). In damp soil in your borders or paths, its invasive little tubers may make it a less welcome visitor to your garden.
