Choose your tomato types
Tomatoes can be determinate or indeterminate: determinate bush fruit like ‘Tumbling Tom’ are quick to fruit but when the flush of flowers is over they are finished; the indeterminate (vine or cordon) tomatoes like ‘Gardener’s Delight’ need pinching out and supporting, but as long as water, food and weather conditions permit they will keep setting fruit trusses.
