Confine bamboos

Bamboos can be an impressive feature in a garden, giving height without too much bulk and adding sound and an exotic appearance -but many of the species are thugs and have running rhizomes which help them spread for metres from the original planting, so a vertical root barrier like this one (heavy duty plastic or pvc) can help to keep bamboo in check.
