Although the birds usually select by colour and leave whitecurrants till they have finished with redcurrants or red gooseberries, in the recent dry weather they seem to be stripping anything that is ripe. If you have whitecurrants to harvest, don't delay - during the Hampton Court Show week, the birds seem to have decided they like whitecurrants.
