Pulmonaria officinalis

Lungwort's common name comes from the 'doctrine of signatures' - herbalists in the first century CE thought that the resemblance of a plant to a body part or organ was a sign from God that the plant would be medicinal. The broad leaves are spotted with white, and in spring the flowers open pink and change to blue.
