Persicaria microcephala ' Red Dragon'

'Red Dragon' is a very ornamental form of knotweed, but not as vigorous as many others - as a herbaceous perennial, it dies back in winter and young leaves can also be hit hard by frost. Lance-shaped leaves have purple and silver markings, with insignificant white flowers in late summer.
