Penstemon heterophyllus 'Heavenly Blue'
There are two main types of penstemon - the earlier flowering P. heterophyllus forms are more brittle and branching: cultivars include 'Heavenly Blue' and 'Arctic Fox' with true blue (no hint of purple) flowers or pure white ones.
