Loropetalum chinense ' Fire Dance'

This is one of the few 'ever-purple' shrubs. Most of these plants won't tolerate too cold a winter, and can be shy of producing many flowers alongside the bright pink of the new foliage buds; but recent summers have ripened the wood so that the spidery pink flowers are more prolific and the shrubs are spectacular in late spring.
