Kerria japonica 'Pleniflora'

This old-fashioned garden stalwart is a suckering, thicket-forming shrub for shade or wilder garden areas;  the bright golden flowers appear over a long period in spring, with strongly veined and serrated green leaves on green stems. Prune out some of the older stems after flowering  - the flowers form on one-year-old wood.
