Cymbidium spp

Cymbidium spp.

Cymbidium or boat orchid is the oldest cultivated orchid, and there is evidence that they were grown in China 2500 years ago. They are popular Christmas gifts because of their spectacular flower spikes, and are relatively undemanding  to look after, as they prefer cooler temperatures in winter of 10-15 degrees Celsius.   The flower spikes will last for six to eight weeks.
