Thin carrots

You need to thin carrots, to give them space to develop properly. Dull, wet and cloudy weather is excellent for this, but unfortunately the weather isn't aways obliging. The best time is when there is little breeze, to avoid the scent of carrot foliage attracting carrot fly. It's also a good idea to dispose of carrot-tops well away from the crop.
