Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple'
This purple-leaved cultivar of the Smoke Bush can be grown for its large feathery, pink inflorescences in summer which give a hazy outline to the shrub - or it can be cut hard back to produce larger and more dramatic purple foliage.
