Gunnera manicata

Gunnera is a magnificent herbaceous plant from South America which grows enormous leaves in mild, wet parts of the UK like Cornwall and Wales. The leaves are like the giant rhubarb Rheum, but stems and undersides of leaves on Gunnera are covered in bristly spikes.
