Loropetalum chinense 'Fire Dance'

This is one of the few 'ever-purple' shrubs. Most of these plants won't tolerate too cold a winter, and can be shy of producing many spidery flowers alongside the bright pink of the new foliage buds, but a good summer will ripen wood enough for a good display of shocking pink flowers and purple-pink foliage together.
