Ipheon uniflorum

The small South American 'spring starflower' has had many different names, including Brodiaea, Triteleia and Tristagma. Ipheion seems to be accepted now for a spring bulb which has the merit of holding its silvery blue upward-facing flowers above the mound of strappy leaves it produces. Here it is planted in variegated ground elder for contrast.
