Asparagus setaceus

Asparagus setaceus

The Asparagus fern is not a fern, and although it doesn't look like it, it's actually a climber with scaly 'thorn' leaves to help it scramble upwards. It needs bright, indirect light - direct sun can scorch the 'needles', too little light will cause them to yellow and drop. Berries are poisonous but the plant is dioecious so these may not be produced.
