Lonicera ligustrina var. pileata

The new specific epithet 'ligustrina' reflects the common name of the privet-leaved honeysuckle, after 'Ligustrum'. It is a low spreading shrub, popular for ground cover because of its flat tiers of glossy, evergreen leaves. Small but fragrant cream flowers in late spring are followed by glossy purple berries.
