Recognise cabbage moth  caterpillar damage

 The caterpillars of the cabbage moth do more serious damage to cabbages than large cabbage white butterfly larvae - they burrow into the heart of the cabbage, rather than just devouring the outer leaves. The larvae are small, green and hairless.
