Sorbus aria

The whitebeam is named for its silvery young foliage which ages to large corrugated, grey-green leaves with pale undersides. Its upswept shape gives it a good outline in winter, and overall it is an excellent tree for gardens with white flowers in spring, autumn colour and berries that attract birds.
