Use nematodes to control slugs underground
25th April 2021
Slugs spend most of their time underground, coming up at night to feed - except for the small types which stay underground and eat tubers like potatoes. The nematodes in 'Nemaslug' need to move through the soil water to make contact with the body of a slug and infect it with a fatal disease , so while this disease would kill snails, Nemaslug isn't likely to be much use against snails because they spend most of their life above ground.
