Ventilate to avoid botrytis

If you have cuttings, seedlings or young plants in a greenhouse or cold frame make sure you can give them some ventilation whenever days are reasonably mild; grey mould (botrytis) spores are always present in the air and can spread at relatively low temperatures, so this time of year - when cold frames are closed and greenhouses closed and insulated - is when it is actually more common than in high summer.
