Recognise horse-chestnut leaf miner damage

The larva of the Horse Chestnut leaf miner  feeds within the leaves, which are covered in small brown patches which spread rapidly across the entire tree, so that it looks like autumn in July. Eventually the leaves die and drop off; when new ones grow they are again infected.
