Abelia x grandiflora (Linnaea x grandiflora)

This large arching shrub gives really good 'value' in a late summer garden; glossy oval leaves are semi-evergreen, and the branches are smothered with pink funnel-shaped flowers for a month or more, each with a persistent calyx of red sepals. It has recently been re-named!
