Reconsider 'climbing' courgettes

'Climbing Black Forest'  sounded an intriguing cultivar of courgette to grow, perhaps freeing up some space in raised beds where courgettes always seem to crowd out any other vegetables. This year's experience is that while it doesn't occupy too much space IN the bed, it's occupying far too much outside it for peace of mind (definitely a space invader) and the return isn't worth it - courgettes form only right at the end of the stem, so the main length of it is unproductive leaves. Back to bush forms next year.
