Weedwatch 6: Bramble

If a seedling of bramble (Rubus fruticosus) appears in your path or garden from a stray blackberry, you need to remove it promptly or the arching stems will begin to layer themselves at the tips and produce a thicket of thorny shrubs - which is fine if you want to pick blackberries, but necessarily convenient in the garden.
