Erysimum cheiri

Common wallflowers are short-lived, evergreen perennials which are generally grown as biennials and become very woody at the base as they age. The narrow, dark-green foliage survives through the winter, then in spring racemes of four-petalled flowers in orange, yellow, red or creamy white produce strong sweet scent.
