Ficaria verna 'Brazen Hussy'

This form of lesser celandine is more decorative than its wild relative, but just as likely to spread itself around by its persistent tubers or by the bulbils or tubercles (bulbils) that form in the axils of its rosette of leaves. Fortunately the glossy, blackish-bronze leaves and contrasting bright yellow flowers are usually welcome additions in damp shade.
