Chaenomeles speciosa 'Nivalis'

'Nivalis' is one of the most common white cultivars of the Japonica or Japanese Quince - another is 'Jet Trail'; the shrub can be trained against dark brickwork or a fence so that the clusters of single pure white blossoms stand out beautifully in early spring.
