Pinus sylvestris

The Scots Pine is native to much of Northern Europe as well as the UK, a tall if rather ungainly conifer with downward hanging cones, bluish needles and a strong russet-orange colour in the bark of younger limbs.As it gets older the top flattens out characteristically.
