Clematis diversifolia

Clematis diversifolia

This clematis is in the Integrifolia Group, a non-clinging deciduous sub-shrub which will die down to the ground each winter.  However it makes 3m of growth in a season, sprawling through shrubs and over supports, and is covered in summer and autumn with violet blue nodding flowers with slightly twisted tepals. It was formerly known as C.x  eriostemon  or C. hendersonii.
