Calycanthus × raulstonii 'Hartlage Wine'

Calycanthus (Sinocalycanthus or Carolina Allspice) is a relative of Chimonanthus or Wintersweet, and has similar oval paired leaves. The flowers are very much larger and produced over a long period through spring/summer; they are dark crimson with a cream centre, with a light spicy fragrance.
