Sisyrinchium striatum

Some sisyrinchiums are neat alpines, others large border perennials; This one is a clump-forming perennial with narrow sword-shaped evergreen leaves and erect stems of pale yellow star-shaped flowers. A disadvantage is that the leaves blacken and die very messily.
