Philadelphus 'Manteau d'Hermine'

Philadelphus 'Manteau d'Hermine'

This  form of mock orange is more compact generally, with clusters of fragrant double flowers and relatively small leaves.  Philadelphus is pruned immediately after flowering to keep it in check - otherwise new shoots form beyond the flowered wood each year, and the bush continues to expand and becomes a thicket with flowers at its extremities!
