Euphorbia epithymoides

Formerly E. polychroma, the Cushion Spurge forms a slightly sprawling mound of foliage topped by inconspicuous green flowers  - but the flowers are surrounded by sulphur yellow bracts which persist for weeks, making it a very colourful border plant. When it gets very strafggling it can be cut back hard to the base to encourage new young growth, but be careful of the irritant milky sap which oozes from it.
