Lunaria annua

Despite its botanical name, 'Honesty' is generally biennial in its life cycle, with a rosette of toothed, heart-shaped leaves in the first autumn and then large, open clusters of purple flowers in late spring. It is popular for its early flowers and for its 'silver dollar' seedheads.
