Chamaecytisus purpureus

Despite the name, this form of broom has soft pink flowers, and its small leaves tend to be retained on the stems; it is lower growing and has a more arching habit than most Cytisus forms, making a very attractive shrub for the print of a border if you can give it free-draining soil .
