Clematis armandii

This evergreen clematis prefers a sheltered location such as a west or south facing wall. The very large leaves are tough and glossy, and clusters of scented white flowers open from the pinkish buds. It can be a rampant climber, prune back the new growth after flowering to keep it in check.
