Buy in plug plants

Garden centres should have good stocks of tender perennial cuttings and seedlings as well-rooted 'plugs' now - growing them on to plant up into tubs and baskets in a couple of months is cheaper than buying in fully-grown plants. For the best selection, remember that most garden centres will have their deliveries scheduled for the latter half of the week, because weekends are their main sales days.
