Prunus x subhirtella 'Autumnalis'

The delicate blossoms of the  winter-flowering cherry are shaken by bitter winds  and frosted during the winter months, but more buds keep on opening whenever it is milder,  right up to the point where other flowering cherries take over. The tree has an ornamental spreading shape, compact enough to suit small gardens.
