Abeliophyllum distichum

'White Forsythia' sounds a really great shrub to train on a sheltered sunny wall, with fragrant pinkish-white flowers on bare stems in February. The downside is that if it shares this choice spot with plants chosen for the rest of the year, it is easily overwhelmed and hardly flowers.
