Some succulents are very robust

Seasonal decoration inflicted on succulents like this Sansevieria cylindrica looks as if it may harm them, but they are remarkably robust and as monocots Sansevieria grow from the leaf base (like grass), so that even when the tip has been covered in glitter or pink fluff, the plant can survive. This example  has continued to grow for three years and although the tips are finally rotting it is now producing new plantlets at the base. Better to leave the glitter on the plant rather than clean it off and add it to environmental pollution.
