Salvia officinalis 'Tricolor'

This shrubby evergreen perennial has decorative purple, white and pink foliage but the same aromatic properties as common sage. It isn't quite as hardy - it stays evergreen in mild winters but in hard winters it loses its leaves, and in wet soil it may die out over a bad winter.
