Fuchsia procumbens

Fuchsia procumbens

This creeping New Zealand perennial is hard to recognise as a fuchsia, let alone a hardy one. It has upward-facing yellow flowers with purplish 'reflexed' sepals and stamens tipped with bright blue pollen. If you collect the large berries it grows easily from seed, and there is a variegated form which you can propagate from cuttings.
