look after windfalls

Weekend winds and rain have brought down many apples, leaving none to pick. Bruised fruit won't store longterm, but if you grade them and cut up the ones with worst damage for cooking/juicing, then lay out the others in a single layer on flat trays (like the cardboard fruit boxes that supermarkets will give away) you can remove any that start to rot as soon as it shows and keep the others for a few weeks at least.
