Ceratostigma plumbaginoides
Hardy Blue-flowered Leadwort is hardly a catchy common name for this useful perennial which forms a mat of low stems for the front of a border; clear blue flowers contrast with the shiny oval leaves which turn purple then scarlet in autumn. It dies down completely in winter so don't forget where it is.
