Another family which can be identified by flowers is Apiaceae, which includes fashionable plants like Anthriscus sylvestris 'Ravenswing' and Ammi majus as well as useful plants like parsley, carrot, and fennel. These plants all have many tiny flowers aranged in clusters to form the 'umbrella' shape of the flowerheads. The defining characteristic in this family is actually the seedheads you will see after the flowers have faded.
