Persicaria microcephala 'Red Dragon'

This is an excellent foliage plant: lance-shaped, purple-green leaves have striking markings, usually a silver band around a central splash of purple. It is herbaceous and easily damaged by late frosts, but revives and gives months of colour in the border.
