Clematis 'Treasure Trove'

One of the Tangutica group of clematis, 'Treasure Trove' has blueish-green foliage and nodding-biscuit coloured flowers with reddish outsides to the petals; it has a vigorous scrambling habit, with its subtle flowers covering other shrubs, but the downside is that subtlety can just look as if the flowers have already faded. Its roots also run, so it can be a problem keeping it away from shrubs where you don't want anything spoiling an architectural shape - like a clump of bamboo.
