The tall pink flowers of Colchicum are often battered by rain and wind, but they are very resilient; they spread well, and a couple of bulbs will turn into a sizeable colony in a few years. Remember that wherever you plant them, the naked pink petals will be stunning in autumn, but you will have to look at the large hosta-like leaves in the spring.
