Plant some potatoes for Christmas

If everything else is going to be in short supply for Christmas, why not grow your own new potatoes? Autumn seed potatoes are on sale in garden centres if you want to try planting some up; keep them frost-free in a greenhouse and you may get a crop for Christmas.
